Disclaimer:
These directions are how I installed the bezel on my own 2001 G20. I will not be held responsible if you break, mutilate, destroy, etc. any part of your (or anyone else's) car or body while performing this task.  You should have no problems as long as you take care in what you are doing and have some patience.  Oh yeah, for you right hand drive people, read these directions in a mirror.  Have fun.

Tools Needed: Phillips (+) screwdriver & Patience

1) Remove: 2 screws under the stereo, 2 screws near gauges, 5 screws on bottom of steering column trim.

2) Tilt steering wheel all the way down and remove trim ring around the key hole.  Remove the top cover and leave the bottom cover on.

3) Pop off center dash trim section by gently pulling on the trim at the bottom of the vents.  It helps to brace the pull by putting your thumbs on the a/c controls.  Don't remove this trim, just let it rest in place once it is popped out.

4) Remove the screw under the left side of the stereo & a/c trim.  This screw holds on the gauge trim.

5) Pop off gauge dash trim section.  Pull gently where the vent is and in the center near the cluster.

6) Remove the two screws for the turn signal unit and let it hang to the side.

7) Pull the gauge dash trim forward, but not too far.  Disconnect the tube and other connection from the right side.  Now disconnect the connection near the middle left.

8) Slowly twist the center dash trim section down to the left to rest on the doorsill.

9) Remove the four screws holding the gauge cluster.

10) Gently pull the cluster forward and turn over.  Disconnect the two connections on the back and remove the cluster.

11) Push on the four clear tabs on the bottom of the cluster to remove the clear cover.

12) Make sure the black gauge surround is clean and dust/grease free.

13) Remove the adhesive backing on the aluminum bezel.  SLOWLY and CAREFULLY place the bezel onto the gauge surround.  Once it is positioned properly, apply firm pressure to the spots with the adhesive.  Wipe the bezel with a soft (damp if necessary) cloth to remove any fingerprints.

14) Now reinstall the cluster by reading backward from step #11.  Of course, you will need to "install" where it says "remove," etc., but you get the idea.

Side note:

If you are planning on changing your bulbs in the gauge cluster, you should do it now while your gauges are free.  On the back, there are four bulbs that control the color behind the gauges.  All the other bulbs are for the warning lights, so I see no reason to change these.  Look at the pic below to see the locations of the four bulbs.  They are marked with arrows in the pic, but I put a dot of white paint on the back of them to make it easy to figure out if I have to change them another time.
